"To govern is always to choose among disadvantages"- Charles de Gaulle
(Famous Vive le Quebec Libre speech)
Mon Influence sur la Culture Francaise
My influence of Charles de Gaulle on French culture is one founded in the remarkable achievements I made during my life time and my enduring role as a symbol of French nationalism. After a large portion ofFrancewas conquered by the Germans in WWII, I was able to act as a rallying point for a defeated people. Later on, I was a voice of reason amidst the political turmoil and chaos that was theFourthFrenchRepublic. My impact can still be seen today in French culture through iconic structures such as the Charles de Gaulle Airport inParisand the Charles de Gaulle aircraft carrier.
The actions I took during World War 2 are one of the main reasons the French people hold me in such high esteem. AfterGermanytook control of Northern France and the Vichy French government signed a treaty with them I fled toEnglandin order to carry on the fight against the Nazis. There I gave a historic address asking for all French nationals from around the world to come and fight for the Free French Army. I would later go intoParisalongside General George Patton.
After the War, I served as a leader in a temporary French government, but quit politics due to the idiotic policies instituted by my colleagues. After that government was removed from power after a large mess up regardingAlgeria, theFifthRepublicwas founded, and I was one of the framers of the constitution as well as the first president. Although my policies as president were often disliked by other countries, they endeared me to the people and gave them a new sense of national pride.
Good, although like Daniel Chen said, it seems to be a little short, and at some places the text size randomly changes. Other than that, you included all the information you had to, although you could have added more.
Good work. :D

Nice job but it seemed a little short? Well the visuals and the format make up for that, good job.

As others say, although it is a bit short as a whole, the impact on French culture, which is important, is well written.
