Mon Influence sur la Culture Francaise

     Ever since I was a boy, I have seen the culture in France as a strong binding force between one and all. I was born August 17, 1977 in Paris, France. From a very young age, I knew what my goal was and what I wanted to do with my life, and that was football. Football, the most important part of my life and the part of my life that is dearest to me. Watching the stars of those days do the French proud in the World Cup, I dreamed of holding that cup in my hand and bringing it home to my own country, France. That goal has stuck with me ever since, and I have never turned back from achieving that goal and strive to get closer every second. 

     At an early age I went to Monaco, where they recognized that I had a lot of talent in the game and recruited me to play for their club. From that time to present, I have gained much enjoyment and pleasure from the game of football. I have been honored to play for prestigious clubs which include Arsenal and Barcelona as well as win the Golden Boot Award. But the proudest moment of my life was when I got accepted into the French National Football Team. This was the moment I had been waiting for my whole life. The chance to play for my country, for who I really am. 

      Even though I spend all my days in Spain, playing for the Barcelona Football Club, it is an amazing experience whenever I go to France for a match or just to visit. It really shows that I have made a difference in French culture. Younger kids and aspiring footballers recognize me on the street and immediately come and talk to me. It is amazing when they remember what I do not about myself and what I did in a certain match. I always knew that I had great fans, but this takes my confidence level up another notch. I realize how much football is the leading sport in France and everyday I try me best to do my country proud.
