Reading

-
opened up new forms of calculus
-
invented projective geometry
-
came up with the probability theory
-
designed and manufactured the first calculating machine run by cogs and wheels
-
created Pascal's Triangle, along with many other mathematical theroy's and equations
-
I helped lead Issac Newton to his discovery of the general binomial theorem
Education:
-
Homeschooled, I learned all I know about the basics of math and science from my father and the many books I read

"A trifle consoles us, for a trifle distresses us."
Mon Influence sur la Culture Francaise:
I, Blaise Pascal, was born June, 19 1623. I was an important role model for most of man-kind. I not only made an influence on my society, but also I greatly influenced the french culture. Even as a young boy, I was quite curious and excellent when it came to the fields of math and science. My father was quite pushy when it came to learning philosophy and he thought that it was something important for me to learn as a child. I did not find much interest in this topic and I eventually discovered my love for math, physics, and science in general. Who knew that one day my love for science and math would eventually lead my to influencing the french culture with my discovers.
Since, I was just a boy when I discovered my love for math and science I had time, over the course of my life, to better understand these two fields and eventually discover new ideas and object. Most of my accomplishments included building one of the first calculating machines, opening up new forms of calculus, and inventing projective geometry. I also came up with the probability theory, created Pascal's Triangle, along with many other mathematical theroy's and equations, and I helped lead Issac Newton to his discovery of the general binomial theorem. This accomplishments allowed many other to move ahead in the fields of math and science.
With my love of math and science I was able to help french culture develop in a positive way that would benefit everyone as a whole. I mean without my theory of probably, calculus, and Pascal's triangle many math problems would go unsolved. Without my designs for the first calculating machine many people would not have the basic calculator. Finally without my projective geometry French culture would be deprived of the many sculptures and art work where projective geometry is need. In conclusion I was an important figure and I influenced not only influenced French culture, but also I influenced the scientific and mathematical world because of my many contributions to society.
Notes:
I designed and manufactured the first calculating machine run by cogs and wheels

This is a good page. It has a lot of information! I think you could have added more color and pictures though to make it look more interesting, overall good job!

Nice page! The facts help to support the guiding questions for the project. The colors keep the page from getting dull with normal black and white font color. Also, your sources are very good. The only advise I would give you is to maybe next time put in a video that has some educational value to your page :) Great job.

I liked the information that you provided in your work, I found it very interesting that your person was the first to make a digital calculator! I think that the colors were appropriate and added to the quality of the text. I like your pictures, and your note above the calculator helped me understand exactly what I was looking at. I think you put a lot of time and effort into your wiki and it looks great!

Nice use of colors and excellent organization. The page is obviously a reflection of hard work and is very informative.Bigger or better-suited images could have been used.

Providing an image for the calculating machine made the page more captivating and more interesting. Your paragraphs were well organized and written and the different colored fonts made the page more appealing.

The page looks really creative and is really nicely organized with the different colors for the headings and the text. It makes it easy to read with the font size of the text as well. I can tell you put in a lot of research and I really like the facts you included for "Personnage que je voudrais rencontrer".
