Personnage que je voudrais rencontrer et pourquoi.

Mon Influence sur la Culture Francaise

I am known as The Monarch of Haute Couture. This is for quite a few reasons. In 1947 I released my new line : Corolle, or "The New Look" by the United States fashion press. I made Paris the fashion capital of the world during World War II. I also won many awards for my designs. These are the few of the things I accomplished to influence French culture.

My new line, Corolle, or "The New Look", was released in 1947. The line had many feautures, such as rounded shoulders,  cinched waist, more emphasis on the bust, and a bell-shaped skirt that gave more curves. At first, this was  not very well accepted by the public, especially women. Many feminists said that it was a way to make women have more of a decorative role. Others were very appalled, when they saw the great amounts of fabric I used, while clothes were being rationed and thought that during the war, this was not right. However, in1946, when the clothing rationing was lifted, people saw it as a post war symbol. Before the War, Paris had the title of the fashion capital of the world. During the war, Paris had lost that title. I brought it back with "The New Look".

In the next decade, I was quite a famous man. I created a new fashion era, and nobody had ever seen anything like it before. As I made each design, I was happy with what had come of it, and I knew my costumers were too. I changed the idea of women's fashion altogether, and throughout the 1950's designers from all over the world look to Paris for inspiration. I not only designed dresses, but jewelry, scares, ties, furs, stockings, and many other things. Paris has become the fashion capital of the world because of my success and people say that I am a very influential designers for the 20th and 21st century.

Notes:

After I died, the House of Dior continued under other designers, such as my protege Yves St. Laurent, followed by Marc Bohan in 1960.

Very clear how Dior influenced French culture, good job illustrating his accomplishments as well. You could have elaborated a little bit more about his personal life and personal character.

The colored font got my attention really well. The essay on the influence clearly stated how he influence the french culture. You could have done more on the personal life. But overall it was great.

Good job! The pictures and videos were extremely helpful. I wish there was more on what he did before he turned into a huge fashion icon, but all in all, it was great. :)

Absolutely amazing. I felt like I was in France when I was reading this. Christian Dior is such a doll and you portrayed him as one. Great! The information was great as well as the pink font. Overall good job.
