Details Personnels:

At only fourteen years old I walked from Anchay to Paris by foot (275 miles) to become more attatched to my dream. At home, all I had was my dad, a carpenter.  I started out helping making suitcases in Paris in 1854 for Monsieur Marachal, but as I  got older, I created my own company, which quickly became very popular. One reason for becoming popular was because I designed and packaged bags for Napoleon III's wife, Empress Eugenie. In 1860, I moved my company to Asnieres because business was doing so well and was getting bigger. After many succcessful years, other designers attempted to replicate my famous design, so in 1876, I made a change. The canvas bag was called "Trianon Grey". Still, I had a problem with the imitators, but sadly I died before I could solve  the problem. My son Georges would take over for me.

Education:

I did not have too much of a good education because I ran away from home at 14 to start working. I was one of the lucky ones to be so successful without going to school or having anything to fall back on. Although I had learned to do what I did during my first job manufacturing trunks.

Mon Influence sur la Culture Francaise:

I have inspired many current professional and aspiring designers. Although I still have many imitators, my work and my company’s work will always be original and different. I continue to live now through my company. I was one of the earliest successful, French, entrepreneurs to become a world-famous designer. I set examples and a precedent for followers such as Christian Dior and Coco Chanel. My journey and dream towards being a good entrepreneur prove that dreams can come true. The core values, and high-standard, custom-made bags and accessories that my company and I have implemented has encouraged and enhanced French culture.

As you may have or have not noticed, the “Louis Vuitton Co.” has a new motto that puts core values into the main model. The core values suggest always using the finer things in life. I want to attract customers by explaining to them how one should always expect the best and only get the best to truly express themselves. French culture values high-fashion and I influence and support it by creating one-of-a-kind, rich bags and accessories. I take a great part (in spirit now) with producing the International fashion shows in Paris.

I have made an impact on French culture by giving you what you want. I am different from other French designers because my products are made with your picks but still I kept my originality. I stayed consistent but still try to be modern. I made custom-fit things but still made it so that you would buy it. I introduced values to French fashion. I wanted to erase the limit of shopping by making it more important to be happy and expressing yourself than to think about the negative things. My influence to French culture includes helping to give Paris the "fashion capital" name. By putting core values into high-fashion, I brought more respect and positivity to French fashion and French culture.

Notes:

The "Louis Vuitton" collection continues because my son Georges took over after me officially making my bags designer label. After Georges passed away, his son, Gaston-Louis began to further my business also.Fifth-generation heir to my company is Patrick-Louis Vuitton, he is another owner and designer for the "Louis Vuitton Company". My company joined with America's Cup to create Vuitton Cup. For eleven years now, my designs have been helped by Marc Jacobs who also added clothing to the official designs. With all the success that my company has, I am proud to say, I was the founder.

This page is really nice. I would have liked if you had added more on the personal details or transitioned it better in the begining; it was a little choppy. You did lots of good research though which really showed in the wiki. Good job!

Great Page. I like the organization and also the variety of colors as I go from video to slideshow. Maybe in the front you could have added a picture so the audience can take a hint of what he looks like. Overall good job Lacey Saucer of French Culture class 1st hour A day.

I really liked your color and movies. I think that it would have been good if you had a picture of Louis, but apart from that, you did a good job explaining French culture.

You did a great job making your presentation look really nice and organized. The bubble share slideshow of the pictures really added to a nice presentation and showed many of Louis Vuitton's work in the fashion industry. Overall, you did a really nice job and the wikipage looks really nice and is easy to read.

Good job Lacey! It is really good, but it could have been more colorful. I know you had trouble finding a picture of him, so you couldn't have a picture. Other than that, really good job! :)

I liked this page as well, because it flowed smoothly and had enough information on it. The slide show was also really cool, and so was the video.
Nice Job!
