"Edward Albee, author of many acclaimed plays, including The Zoo Story, Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf? and Three Tall Women: 'My favorite memoir? Well, it's the most comprehensive one I've ever read, despite its disguise as a novel. I was considered a sickly child because I had an asthma attack when I was 9.
I was nocturnal for a long time.

Swann drew me aside for a moment while his wife talked of the weather and of the animals recently added to the Jardin d'Acclimatation, with the Princess" (500 Proust). From Within a Budding Grove. Although things seem rather confusing and jumbled, this is how almost all of the book is: spoken in normal words, yet making no sense.

"There are perhaps no days of our childhood we lived so fully as those we spent with a favorite book."
"Illness is the doctor to whom we pay most heed; to kindness, to knowledge, we make promise only; pain we obey."
"We become moral when we are unhappy."

Mon Influence sur la Culture Francaise
Many forms of literature can often be thought of as the written art. Marcel Proust was unique in his art, because his most popular form of writing was free write, perhaps one of the more creative ways for authors to write. He would write pages and pages, with no noticeable form, yet somehow, there would be some meaning behind it all. Proust wrote many long pieces in interior monologue, or freewrite, so that whatever he was thinking would usually end up on paper. This often made some of his famous pieces somewhat autobiographical, because he would write about situations pertaining to his own life. The freewritten novels are an indirect expression of the inner thoughts of what is "generally considered the greatest French novelist of the twentieth century" (Saari http://www.enotes.com/history-fact-finder/culture-recreation/what-marcel-prousts-claim-literary-fame).
How does Marcel Proust influence French culture? It was infact Proust who first introduced psychoanalysis for mental patients, cyclical time, and other great innovations that effect both French culture as well as American. He add a new bit of flair to French cultural readings by introducing so many interior monologues. Many other playwrites and authors, like Edward Albee, fawn over how great Proust's writings are. In relation to French culture, he won a major French literary award, called the Goncourt Prize, for one of his works, The Budding Grove. This is influential because the award itself is very prominent and given each year to the author with the "best and most imaginative prose work of the year". Marcel Proust doubtlessly accomplished that with his work in The Budding Grove. This influences the culture because as more people found out about him, and began reading his true classics, more people would be aware of him and interest in his pieces would go up. While it takes some thought to understand some of his plots and what goes on in his books, intellectual readers would welcome the challenge and also be entertained by his almost unique form of writing.
All in all, Marcel Proust was an influential man to French culture. He introduced to them a new form of creative writing and wrote what many other authors and other people think are the best examples of prose and story writing. Proust's pieces have some partially hidden autobiographies in them, because Proust wrote in interior monologue, so his thoughts and feelings were incorporated into some of his writings. By winning the Goncourt Prize in 1919, one can see that he was known in France, even at the time as on of the world's greaetst writers. Marcel Proust is on of the greatest, most eccentric, influential authors of France from the 20th century.

The Colors stick out a lot and help with the beaty of the page, ver nicely done. Maybe you should add a video or slide to add creativety to the page. Except for that, great job!

Rabia! Nice job! I love your page, and it was super colourful and caught my attention. Also, good use of pictures, you put them in at exactly the right time. The only thing wrong was that you wrote the last part in third person. But it was still great. Overall, I loved your page :)

The pictures were a really good touch, and the colour brings life to your page, it catches your attention nicely. You might want to stick to first person though, you kind of slipped at the end. But over all, really awesome!

Excellent job! I really like how much work you put into this page, it clearly comes through. The different colored text is very creative but a little hard to read in parts. I like the photos and where you put them. Your information is spot on and you used good sources for your project. Overall, outstanding job.
