9th Grade Economics Project - You will be making an iaspace page for your country (think facebook profile)

Guiding Question: How does the information in the categories relate to economic growth and the standard of living in that country?

  • How does your country compare to the US? You need to address this question under each topic that allows for an answer.

Create a pbwiki account

You will be assigned a country in class.  This is a group project.  All of the topics in the template can be related to economic growth or standard of living. By finding these things out, you should see what countries are growing and why.  You should also be able to determine what countries are developing and why. In regards to the relating to the US, since we are considered the most developed and growing, you will be using the US as a reference point.

You must include pictures where possible.  A slideshow would best.  Include pictures of:

  • The flag of that country
  • Pictures of the people
  • Other pictures related to the economy

You must use academic sources (like books and databases) to find accurate facts about your country .  Feel free to use  slide to create slideshows with photos illustrating your country.  Some of you may be able to embed YouTube videos showing your country's economy in action.  Two other cool sites to use are Voki and Blabberize.

Pictures/maps must be cited.  DO NOT USE WIKIPEDIA FOR YOUR RESEARCH.
